Tour-Tips.com keeps the email address you give us so that it can send you the Tour Tips Weekly Newsletter, which you asked for. This note covers the newsletter; questions about it go to stanley@tour-tips.com.
What we keep
Your address, and whether it is waiting to be confirmed, subscribed or unsubscribed; when and how you signed up, confirmed or unsubscribed, with the words you were shown, as the record that you agreed; and, for each newsletter, whether it was sent to you. The sign-up form also keeps, for two days, scrambled forms of your connection's address and of the address typed, to stop the form being misused.
What we use it for
Only to send you the newsletter. We never sell your address or pass it to anyone for their own use. The newsletter is delivered for us by Postmark, an email service, which handles each address only to deliver our emails and to manage the unsubscribe link. We don't track whether you open the newsletter or which links you click.
Why we may
Because you asked for it, and confirmed it through the link we emailed you. You can withdraw that at any time.
How long we keep it
While you are subscribed. A sign-up that is never confirmed is deleted after seven days. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address and the record of your choices only so that you are never emailed again by mistake.
Stopping it, and your rights
To stop the newsletter, click the unsubscribe link at the foot of any edition, or email stanley@tour-tips.com. You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, at the same address. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
