Outright Picks - Champions Tour

Tipster: Stanley

Odds: Outright

Bruno's Memorial Classic

FINAL RESULT: 2-1; +27.00pts

Weibring 1st
Quigley 5th
James 13th

Starting the final round with the three selections in 1st, 2nd and 5th place, this was always looking to be a bumper payout. Tom Kite threatens to spoil matters early on and Quigley managed to record his first-ever over-par round on this course, but it all turned out well in the end!

Outright plays (total stake per play: 2pts)

D.A. Weibring to win 20/1 e.w. @ Boyle Sports
One of last year's most consistent players, but has yet to really match that form in 2005 apart from a 2nd place finish in the SBC Classic. Still, 28th is his worst finish this year and he is returning to a course on which he finished 2nd last year, so with his odds drifting this year, he is certainly value at this type of price.

Dana Quigley to win 20/1 e.w. @ BetInternet and Boyle Sports
Quigley is retrieving some form just in time for this event. He traditionally starts the year in very good form and then tails off, but has finished 2nd and 7th in his two starts this month and the omens are good for another strong performance from the 'Iron Man' this week. He has played in this event seven times, finishing in the top-3 three times and has never shot a single round over-par around Greystone. Definitely good value at 20s.

Mark James to win 25/1 e.w. @ SkyBet
In his last three events, he has won the ACE Group Classic having never played on that before, finished 14th in the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf having never played on that course before and finished 8th in the Kinko's Classic (he was 2nd with eight holes to play) having finished 50th in that event last year. So having shot 68-69 over the weekend to recover from a poor opening round to finish 11th last year, he looked ideally placed to challenge for a title again.
