4-0; +16.40pts  (system plays: 1-1-0)

Round 1 play (4pts);

Chris Kirk to beat Patrick Reed +100 @ 5Dimes  WON by 2
In better form recently and with a much better record on this course - 16th, 5th, 35th and 14th in the last four years, whereas Reed has opted to play here only once and finished 46th (2013) - Kirk looks good odds as an underdog.

Round 2 plays (4pts):

Steve Stricker to beat Hunter Mahan +110 @ SkyBet  WON by 1
Stricker hit the ball straighter off the tee and towards the greens than Mahan yesterday and that augurs well for this matchup today. Mahan finished the day in 16th place alongside Stricker, but he has never fared well on this course: in his ten previous appearances, he has recorded just one top-25 finish whereas Stricker was a winner here in 2009.

Ian Poulter to beat Marc Leishman -140 @ 5Dimes  WON by 2
A similar course history difference in this matchup: Poulter has two top-15 finishes in his three previous visits, Leishman is without a top-20 finish in four attempts. With Poulter in a good run of form, he looks the more likely to retain his top-10 position than Leishman who is without a top-20 finish in a strokeplay event this year.

Rory Sabbatini to beat Angel Cabrera -114 @ Pinnacle [also available @ 5DimesThe Greek and Carib]  WON by 1
Cabrera finished 22nd in the Masters Tournament, but that is the only time that he has reached the final round in his last six events on the PGA Tour schedule. Sabbatini, as ever, tends to blow hot and cold, but he is off to a fast start (he is 16th after rd1) so I expect him to record his 6th top-25 finish of 2015 ... in his 12 events so far this year, he has either finished in the top-25 of missed the cut. For Cabrera in 56th place, the sixth missed cut in seven PGA Tour events looks rather likely.

[unofficial rd2 system plays: Van Pelt tb Stroud -105 (L); Walker tb Snedeker -105 (W)]

No round 3 plays.

No round 4 plays.

NOTES

* UPDATE: 18th September 2012 *

Following the dramatic reversal in the performance of my 18-hole tips over the last two months, there will be a change in my posting policy:

There will now be posted up to a maximum of five plays per round, but only for the PGA, European, Champions, LPGA and Nationwide Tours. This does include co-sanctioned events by these Tours.

As before, these plays will typically be 2pts and cover only '2-ball' matches rather than '3-ball' matches. Where my analysis points to a particular mismatch that is not reflected in the odds, higher stakes may be advised, up to a maximum of 6pts.

Note that '2pts' represents 'to win 2pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents '2pts staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds).
