Just a quick update on the state of play.

With the weather  set to be windy all weekend, those that cannot adjust their swings and yardages will suffer greatly as the pressure mounts towards the finishing line. A case can be made for 15 or so players from here but they will need to play well to sluice through the field and reach the current leaders scores of 9-under. Both Shane Lowry and Thomas Bjorn are much respected but although the Irishman has local knowledge and played well after a poor start today, he looks far too short at 7.0. Two shots behind him, and just four off the lead, reknowned wind player Thomas Bjorn continues to threaten and although he stayed still today, is hugely feared at a much more appealing 15.0+. Nevertheless, I haven't given up hope on Jamie Donaldson, whose game seemed to stutter after a three-putt on his 14th, but who will love the chase on a course where all the par-5s will be reachable for his length, and whilst Aussie Rumford hasn't found the short stuff anywhere on the course, he has a record of shooting low when others cannot.

Clearly all those mentioned will need to be on top of their game on a track that rewards a plotting type of play, but it could take them all a while to reach the current lead of 9-under and as such, a lay of Robert Rock is suggested just to ensure profits this weekend. I can only see the front two shortening at some point so lay 6 points at 5.0, making a 2 point profit if matched and a 51 point 'freebie' which can be played with afterwards.
