Staking will be based on a maximum potential loss of approx 12 Points if the result Makes Up at the worst possible result. 2 Wins 1 Loss +9.35 Pts Sell Jamie Donaldson FP at 47 with Spreadex for 0.3 Pts M/U 37.5, Profit 2.85 Pts A winner in Portrush on links golf last year, Donaldson has won since in Abu Dhabi. He went off the boil after that second win, through the Spring but has since came back to form with finishes of 11th in Sweden, 32nd in the US Open, 10th in his Irish defence and 6th in France. For me this price reflects a high fixed odds price and is out by a good few points. R1 Sell John Huh over Hyung-Sung Kim at 3 with Sporting Index for 0.25 Pts. M/U 16, Loss 3.25 Pts Huh has played once here, in The Open of 2012, missing the cut with a 75/73 two round record. He has more European experience than his opponent but 3-6 seems high on a MB where Huh is not expected to shoot a great score. Kim's worst finish in his last six starts is 22nd and players that play in Japan generally always seem to be overlooked by the prices as also-rans. Sell Rory McIlroy over Hideki Matsuyama at 5 with Sporting Index for 0.25 Pts M/U -34, Profit 9.75 Pts Our friend from the last major, Matsuyama was up the top of the LB for most of the week. He finished 10th, a result that extended a period of form with lots of wins and 2nd place finishes. Importantly since then he has finished 7th, 4th and had a MC in Japan, so is still in form. Rory has struggled all year but could easily show up here and perform well but the question marks are there. This 3ball (with Mickelson) will have a huge following and you will see all the shots of the two well known players and probably few of Matsuyama but that's how TV coverage works. Don't discount the player who has the least shots shown also takes the least shots overall. |
