Paul Lawrie to beat Nicolas Colsaerts  - 6 points @ 10-11 (Ladbrokes)

Two Ryder Cup 'heros' in this weeks matchbet but the Scot makes great appeal at the price on offer.

Course form is crucial here and in that respect Lawrie's two top-tens in the last three years is on a different level to his oppo's two missed-cuts and a very best of 35th in five tries. The Belgian has also been very in-and-out this year and is going to need to show far more course management than is often the case, especially in the forecast high winds; whilst big hitters have won here, the likes of Cabrera and Els have far more 'touch' in their game than Colsaerts, who may struggle to scramble effectively enough to take advantage of his distance.

Lawrie, on the other hand, will relish the challenge of bad weather and the Genworth stats show him to be one of the best par-savers on the Tour. The Ryder Cup may be in focus due to the field this week, but he should now have got over his disappointment at how he played in Midinah (his twitter and blog suggest so) and with an early tee-time, can post a halfway score to build on. In any case, there is no real reason to be opposing him at 'each-of-two'.
