Pre-rd3 plays:

BACK to win 20pts

Marc Leishman 2.04  4th
In his last five events, Leishman has been the 54-hole leader in the Dell Techologies Championship, won the BMW Championship and lost out in a playoff for the CJ Cup. This is his first event in his home country for a year and he has shown already that he is a class above the rest of his compatriots. Joint leader after 36 holes with Adam Bland, ranked 250 places lower in the World Rankings, I expect him to win from this position.
Cameron Smith 7.6  1st
It is only halfway through the event so partly offsetting the Leishman play with smaller bets on those near the top of the leaderboard. Smith is another player who has been in very good form recently with top-5 finishes in his last three starts against much stronger fields. He is three shots back in 4th place, but fully deserves to be 2nd-favourite at this stage.
Adam Bland 8.4  3rd
I like these odds on Bland who co-leads with Leishman. The Japan Tour player could easily have dropped back as 1st round co-leader, Jordan Zunic, did, but Bland continued to play very impressive golf and leads the field in both par-4 scoring and number of birdies. I still think Leishman will win, but if he falters, Bland has looked impressive so far.
Greg Chalmers 19  11th
Two shots behind the leaders is Chalmers in 3rd place and while he has struggled for form recently, he won this event in 2011 and again in 2014 on this course, so the 'positive mental association' approach suggests that he should be lower odds to win from this position.
Sergio Garcia 19.5  24th
Garcia was a shot off the pace after day one, but a seven on the 9th hole after finding water derailed his round today and he now sits 10th and six shots off the pace. Against this field, he could make a move up the leaderboard very quickly, so covering the Spaniard at this point of the tournament.
Rhein Gibson 25  24th
I'd expect Gibson's price to also be a little lower, so adding him to the list of covering players for the Leishman play. He is only three shots back in 4th place, finished in the top-20 both last year on this course and last week in the Australian Open.

LAY 20pts liability

Curtis Luck 100  11th
Luck shot 66 to get back under the cut line and finish the day in 14th place and seven shots off the lead, but I can't see him closing that gap over the weekend when his ball-striking is so poor - he ranks outside the top-100 for both driving accuracy and greens in regulation so far this week.

Pre-rd4 play:

LAY 20pts liability

Jordan Zunic 2.6  2nd
I didn't see Zunic shooting 64 in rd3 to secure a three-shot lead, but it could have been so much better - a 59 looked a possibility until he finished bogey-double bogey on the last two holes. That turned a virtually unassailable lead into a three-shot lead over Smith who was highlighted as a player in great form. It's always difficult to follow up so a low round and particularly if a 59 had been a possibility and with a European Tour Card available to the winner, he will face more pressure today than he has ever faced. He finished the 2017 European Challenge Tour season wih four straight missed cuts which shows how big a jump there is to leading this European Tour-sanctioned event.
