5-0; +5.00pts

Round 1 plays (1pt):

Charl Schwartzel to beat Justin Rose -120 @ Five Dimes  [also available at SkyBet]  WON by 5
4th in the Joburg Open two weeks ago, 9th in the Africa Open last week and 3rd in this event last year, Schwartzel looks better than the 50/1 currently on offer for him to win this event. He really should beat Rose who struggled with his game last year and missed the cut in all three previous visits to Doha.

Anders Hansen to beat Darren Clarke -105 @ Pinnacle  WON by 6
Clarke did finish 2nd in the Africa Open last week, but he had failed to finish in the top-10 in any of his last 11 events and his last top-10 here was back in 1998; when he last played in here in 2007 only four people finished behind him so he should be worth opposing. Hansen, by contrast, has made the cut here in seven of eight attempts (missing by one on other occasion) and has finished 1st and 15th in the last two weeks.

Jeev Milkha Singh to beat Darren Clarke -110 @ The Greek  WON by 3
Singh won two events (in Asia and Japan) over the off-season and has continued that form into the season if you discount his first round last week. He has good form here and I can't see him finishing outside the top-20.

Richard Finch to beat Michael Campbell -105 @ Five Dimes  WON  (Campbell WD)
No-brainer play. Campbell had been slowly recovering from a right shoulder injury since July last year when he tore a muscle around the rotator cuff of the same shoulder last week and withdrew after 4 holes of the 2nd round. He is confident of playing this week after shortening his swing, but this will cause problems with the driver. Even if fully fit, he would struggle to beat Finch who was 6th in the South African Open and 4th here in 2006, so I can't understand how Five Dimes can make Cambo the favourite.

Round 3 play (1pt):

Anders Hansen +½ to beat Johan Edfors -114 @ Five Dimes  WON by 1
