We have two "Ryder Cup" style events this week and I am suggesting purely on value terms that we oppose both favourites. For the same reasons as opposing GB&I in the Seve Trophy, it seems value to oppose the States in what is an away match and with a deficit average in their team on world rankings of nearly 4pts a player. They get the 14-15.5 quote purely because they have Woods, Furyk, Mickelson and Stricker at the head of their teams. However, arguably the weakest players in the Internationals side are Cabrera, O'Hern and an out of form Goosen, but i'd still back them over the States' rags of Austin, Glover and Charles Howell. |
