Romain Wattel to beat Pablo Larrazabal 5 points @ Evens (Will Hill)

Wattel has long been one to watch and this former amateur star will surely be crossing the line before too long. Given what we have seen, his breakthrough is likely to come via a long course such as he faces this week and with decent recent form (three top-12s in six outings) he can build on last seasons 21st. Vitally he has length and whilst not the be-all and end-all of an overall game, can certainly putt when giving himself the chance often records top-30 efforts with the flat stick). Possibly even more significant on a course where the wind can blow, he shot a decent enough 74 in last years final round and as recent as last week went 8-under for the weekend in windy rainy Wales.

Larrazabal is an enigma, even if only relatively young. Like most of the Latin players he looks fantastic when getting it right as he mostly does at home in Spain. However, when Pablo is bad he is awful and has thrown away as many chances as he has taken. He seems to only have eyes for the pin and this course may well get to him if he needs to work for his score. Wasn't particularly effective at either Wentworth or Celtic Manor, missed the cut here last year and also has a later tee time on Thursday - catching up and chasing isn't a recipe for this track.
