Following two successive weeks in Asia, the tour switches to South Africa this week. The course at Fancourt has recently undergone some changes with all the greens being resurfaced and many bunkers resculptured. William Hill have joined Skybet in compiling prices but only offer four places on each-way bets. Hopefully other books will also participate when the tour restarts in June.  With all of this is mind, minimum stakes are, once again, advised.

The Zimbabwean showed flashes of form last season winning the Senior Masters at Woburn and placing in the Irish Seniors Open. He also showed his wellbeing in Thailand a fortnight ago albeit finishing poorly with a third round 75. Crucially, he has already played the revamped course being used this week when he joined forces with Angel Cabrera to win the Gary Player Invitational in December.

Williams produced top-ten finishes in both the recent Asian events and as a regular on the Sunshine Tour will be more able than most to deal with the conditions. During his brief European Seniors Tour career he has registered four place finishes from eleven events and this event may offer him the best chance yet of an elusive first win.
