Spread Betting News (Sporting Index)

Summary: 4.9 Pts Profit from 2 bets. (2 wins)

Bet 1. 18H MB at IG Sport Sell David Frost over Garry Houston at 0. Stake 0.2 Pts. M/U -13, Profit 2.6 Pts
Frost is winding down his career now and his results have suffered as a consequence. After finishing 6th here two years ago, Frost has played in 30 events since then, only beating 25th place on one occasion. He was always a good bet to perform when coming back from the US Tour to play at this time of year but he noticably missed 3 cuts in the 4 events he played in 05' and he finished 69th in the other. Houston, meanwhile, has 6 Top 20 finishes this calendar year and has a h2h record of 8-4 over Frost. The reason for Frost being favourite is probably a mix of him being at home and that Houston has missed 4 cuts in a row. However, Houston has a scoring average almost a full shot better than Frost this year and shouldn't be the underdog.

Bet 2. 18H MB at IG Sport Sell Bradford Vaughan over Ross Fisher at -1.5. Stake 0.2 Pts. M/U -13, Profit 2.3 Pts
Very little h2h form to go on but what there is points to Fisher who has won the 2 events they have played in this country and 5 of the 6 rounds. Vaughan, admittedly has some good results on his home tour including winning 3 weeks ago which was an impressive return after shooting 317 for four rounds the week before in China. However, his average finishing position on this tour is nearly 25th which is poor considering the quality of player he normally faces. Fisher is on a very poor run of form late in 06' but preference for him here is based on the belief he is still a better player and should be clear favourite.
