Stanley will be away for a couple of weeks, so Chris will be posting the Champions Tour outright tips.

RESULT: 1-2, -2.25pt

Watson 4 way tie for 3rd

Eaks NR

After moaning about place terms offered on this tour last week, it's only fair I give credit where it is due: Paddy Power are now 1/4 5 places this week, as are Betfred, who are also now offering place only markets for the Champions and LPGA tours. Lets hope we see more positive developments like these.

The rogue's gallery of bookies offering only 4 places this week: Bet Direct, Stan James, Victor Chandler and Centrebet (although slightly different for them as these are place only prices as opposed to each way terms).

Back Tom Watson 1pt e/w @16/1 at Paddy Power, William Hill

Watson should certainly be fresh, not having played since The Masters. He has been a strong performer in his appearances on the Champions Tour, not finishing outside the top 5 this season.

Back Peter Jacobsen 1pt e/w @25/1 at William Hill

These odds look very generous for a player who has shown he can still hold his own even with the young guns on the PGA tour this season. Has a 2nd and a 4th place finish from his last 4 starts on this tour.

Back Gil Morgan 1pt e/w @40/1 at BetInternet

Another player who has plenty of good finishes on the tour this season. This looks good each way value at least.

Back R.W. Eaks to finish in the top five 1pt @16/1 at BetFred

There is a question mark over his condition as he pulled out of last week's event, however I would hope that if he wasn't fit to play then he wouldn't play. If he is fit then this looks a good price to achieve a top 5 finish.
