Tipster: Stanley

SBC Championship

FINAL RESULT: 2-0; +6.00pts

Pate/Nelson WON by 6
Pooley/Thorpe WON by 2

Two wins to make up for the frustration on the outrights.

Matchup plays (2pts unless stated)

Jerry Pate to Larry Nelson -115 @ Centrebet [4pts]
Opposing Nelson who has had just one top-10 finish since January and has finished 55th and 56th in his last two events. He does have a good record on this course, but he has been particularly affected by the Tour's cart policy this year and was the defending champion last week, but still finished outside the top-50. By contrast, Pate shot 65-67 over the weekend in Greater Hickory Classic to finish 4th in his last event two weeks ago - his fourth top-5 finish over the same period that Nelson has managed just one top-10.

Don Pooley to beat Jim Thorpe +100 @ Pinnacle
Thorpe is well-documented as being a late season player and he has finished in the top-5 twice in his last five starts, but on each occasion he finished level with Pooley. And that is quite an achievement as in every other common event since the Commerce Bank Championship over three months ago (8 events), Pooley has finished ahead of Thorpe at an average of over six shots per tournament!
