Matchup Picks - Champions Tour

Tipster: Stanley

Odds: Matchups

Allianz Championship

FINAL RESULT: 0-3; -6.71pts

Reese/Bean LOST by 1
Davis/Gilder LOST by 1
McKnight/Gilder LOST by 11

Ouch! Two single shot losses and a very disappointing event.

Matchup plays (2pts):

Don Reese to beat Andy Bean -122 @ Five Dimes
A new course so current form should be paramount this week and Reese dominates in this category. They have played in six common events in the last three months (four in the last five weeks) and Bean has finished ahead of Reese only once and that was by a single shot.

Rodger Davis to beat Bob Gilder -114 @ Expekt
Just as strong a difference in form between these two players. In their last eight common events, Gilder has finished ahead of Davis just once and the margins of victory for Davis in the last three events have been twelve, nine and six (at the cut) shots respectively. A considerable difference in form.

Ted McKnight to beat Bob Gilder +105 @ Five Dimes
Similar story here. In their last seven common events, Gilder has finished ahead of McKnight only once and lost by twelve shots to McKnight after just 36 holes last week. The new course should even out any advantage that the more season Champions Tour player should have each week, so this is a surprising choice of favourite by Five Dimes.
