Toshiba Senior Classic

Matchup plays (2pts unless stated):

Bobby Wadkins to beat Jim Ahern -133 @ Five Dimes
Opposing Ahern who can blow very hot as well as cold. He finished 4th two weeks ago in Mexico and even won the Music City Championship last year, but he typically finishes more around the 56th place mark as he was last week. Wadkins is not that consistent, but having finished ahead of Ahern in three of four common events this year, I'll back him in this matchup.

Bruce Fleisher to beat Hajime Meshiai -125 @ Centrebet [6pts]
Total mismatch! Meshiai gained his Tour Card by finishing 3rd at the Tour Q-School, but he played on the PGA Tour 17 times and missed the cut in more than half of them. He may have won tournaments on the Japan Tour, but he is not in the same class of player as Fleisher who has four years of experience around Newport Beach against the big-hitting rookie's none. Stadler, McNulty and Jacobsen have been very impressive on their Tour debuts recently, but this is asking too much of Meshiai.

Fuzzy Zoeller to beat Sam Torrance -130 @ Five Dimes
Last week was the first time this year that Torrance had finished ahead of Zoeller. It was his second top-15 finish of the season, but Zoeller had already had three of those, including a win. With two years course form in hand this week, Zoeller should have the upper hand against a player making his debut at Newport Beach.

Final update: 2-1-0; +5.40pts

Wadkins/Ahern WON (Ahern disqualified)
Fleisher/Meshiai WON by 9
Zoeller/Torrance LOST by 2

Nice profit thanks to the Fleisher/Meshiai mismatch. Doubt we'll such an opportunity from Centrebet again!
