A very disappointing week last week with Stricker having thrown away a 3 shot lead going into the last round dropping 7 shots in 4 holes around the turn and then to have Perez win @ 66/1 whom we have backed last week and a couple of times at the end of last year!!

I can make a case for a lot of the players this week on what will be an even rowdier week than normal with the Cardinal playing in the SuperBowl on Sunday.

Additional Round 4 Play.

2pts win S.Piercy @ 9/1 Paddy Power (I know he is a PGA rooky but has shown he can win and these odds will not be available again for this player in the same position)

C.Villegas 1pt ew @ 18/1 General

Has shown he likes the course coming 2nd in 2006. Great form at the end of last year and a solid 12th place at the start of this. I expect another big year from the Colombian and see no reason why he cant open his account this week.

A.Baddeley 0.75ew @ 40/1 Bet 365, Bet Fred, VC

Again good course form winning in 2007 and has shown some solid if not "inspiring" form already this year. May be a little inconsistent at the moment but think the odds represent good value.

JB Holmes 0.75 ew @ 40/1 General

Has won the event twice and clearly likes all the "hype" this week. If his putting returns we can expect a big week from Mr Holmes at decent odds.

S.Ames 0.75 ew @ 45/1 Skybet, Tote

Great closing round last week  and whilst his course form is not great is very much a confidence player so hopefully can continue where he left off last week.

S.Appelby 0.75 ew @ 60/1 Blue Sq

Huge odds for a player of his ability. Has struggled a bit of late (including whilst back home over the Christmas period) but am prepared to take a risk for a player who has won the first event of the season 3 times so clearly has no problem flying out of the blocks at the start of his season!

P.Perez 0.5ew @ 50/1 General

Disappointing to have missed Perez victory last week having followed him on numerous occasions but he did play some great golf and could have finished even lower!! Course form not great but clearly continuing his form from the end of last year and great value again.

S.Marino 1pt ew @ 70/1 Blue Sq

Another player waiting to win and a solid start to this year. More than happy to follow him whilst available at these odds.

W.Simpson 0.5ew @ 80/1 General

Rookie who has got off to a flying start with 2 top 10s already. A little bit speculative but obviously is loving life and as we all know golf can be as much about confidence and state of mind as it is about talent!!

Top 10 Plays

S.Verplank 1.5pt @ 7/1 General

S.McCarron 1pt @ 16/1 General

J.Nittie 0.5 pt @ 50/1 Tote

K.Duke 1pt @ 10/1 Tote
