Speculative play on a player with good course form, 7/3/60 in the last few years. However his current form is really poor hence the price.
Sell Rocco Mediate over Tim Herron R1 18H MB at 2 with Sporting Index for 0.5 Pts M/U 19, Loss 8.5 Pts
Herron leads 9-5 in events played over 12 months, three of those the last three events both players started in. Both players are coming towards the end of their careers on this tour and that is noticeable by the fact their scoring averages are getting higher as time goes by, but there seems no reason to suggest Herron is fading quicker than Mediate. Possibly the 2nd place US Open finish is still influencing prices on Mediate but he has finished no better than 18th since (here last year). Mediate does have good form here, with an 8th to go with the 18th but Herron finished 12th here in 08' and all in all, Mediate should be 0-3 at best.
