Stake 3pts McLachlin to beat Baird -122 @ Pinnacle Sparkling form so far this year from McLachlin with two top 20 finishes from three starts, a far better showing than Baird has managed to date. Last year he put together four sub 70 rounds to finish 18th, a convincing victory over Baird by 7 shots. Although accuracy came out on top last year it looks like the wind might be more pronounced this year. So given the small greens I favour a good scrambler for this event and McLachlin has shown himslef to be easily the better scrambler, reinforcing the belief that he should take this given better current and course form.
