Nothing stood out before this event started, but with 18 holes played there is some value in opposing the leader after R1. Mackenzie has previous when it comes to fast starts, he shot 65 in Hawaii (42), 67's at Colonial (52), Memorial (11) and The Travellers (72) and 66 in Reno (30). His finishes in those events are shown in brackets. The only good finish was at Memorial as he produced a 65 in R3 but generally he shoots in the 70s after these starts. In fact, in the 15 rounds played in those events from R2 onwards he only broke 70 3 times. A repeat this week should see him finish below 24th place in an event where the cut line could fall as low as -5.
