Stanley will be away for a couple of weeks, so Chris will be posting the PGA Tour outright tips. RESULT 0-1, -2pts Taylor T6th A good showing from Taylor, although unfortunately he came up just short of the places in the end.
A strong field turns out this week, however most of the prices on the main players here look a bit on the short side. Jim Furyk has excellent credentials with a 2nd place in his last event and 2nd place here last year, but probably isn't great value at the prices available. Back Vaughn Taylor 1pt e/w @100/1 generally With the market leaders looking a bit short looking a bit further down should yeild some value and Taylor looks to fall in to that category. He was 5th here last year so can play the course. He's also shown some good form of late with a 3rd at The Heritage and 8th at the Players. Finally, with 2 wins under his belt already on the tour he has shown he knows how to win, albeit they came in lesser fields than this, but I can see him easily making the step up to being the sort of player who contends in and even wins these upper tier events. | |
