Sony Open in Hawaii

Initial bet:
6 pts Davis Love 18/1 @
Skybet:
Simply too big for a world class golfer who's not exactly out of form.

2nd bet:
6 pts Vijay Singh 8/1 @ Coral & BlueSq:
Bound to be mega-popular this week, is the best in the world at the moment?
Destroyed the field on par 4 and par 5 performance last week and poor show on par 3s surely only a temporary blip.
***
8/1 gone with these two firms but now available with Stan James***

First lay @ Betfair:
5 pts Davis Love @ 15.5
Going in early but this may be a good time to try and secure the lay at a very acceptable price.
Adjustment:
I feel we should change the lay and get in first at 16.5 as Chandlers have gone up at 16/1 - that will still be a very nice trade.

Second lay @ Betfair:
5 pts Vijay Singh @ 8
There should be no problem laying off a full point shorter.

Pre-tournament update: Many thousands have been matched at, or below, the recommended lay prices so there were
no problems whatsoever in closing the trades. We have our 1 pt bets on Singh @ 12/1 and Love @ 34.5/1.

Sunday lay @ Betfair:
4 pts Davis Love @ 5.2
There should be no problem obtaining this lay as there is plenty waiting to back at this price at the time of writing.
But, if necessary, go up to about 5.5 to lay.
The reasons for the size of the lay, 4 pts, are that I'm keen to get back the outlay so far for this column in 2004
(1 pt last week and 3 pts this week) plus I'm not sure Love can follow up his last two fantastic rounds with another
low enough to win. It is notoriously hard for a player to repeat a very low round, let alone two. Best of luck Davis!
