Matchup Picks - PGA Tour

Tipsters: Stanley (72-hole matchups) & Andy (18-hole matchups)

Southern Farm Bureau Classic

FINAL RESULT: 3-1-0; +5.55pts

Roberts/Byrd WON by 2
Triplett/Byrd WON by 1
Kuehne/Duval LOST by 3
Sindelar/Duval WON by 4

Good profit on the matchups to round off a very good event. Was fortunate that the tight games went our way, but there will be plenty that won't.

72-hole plays (1.5pts unless stated):

Loren Roberts to beat Jonathan Byrd +100 @ Bet365
Will take these odds on an outright selection to beat a player who did win a Tour event in July, but has otherwise been very erratic since returning from injury. If Byrd does beat Roberts it will only be the second time in eight common events that he will have done so.

Kirk Triplett to beat Jonathan Byrd +100 @ Pinnacle [3pts]
Great odds for this matchup. Triplett has excellent course form with a worst-finish of 23rd in seven visits to Annandale and has dominated this matchup in 2004: he leads Byrd 12-2-0 h2h this year.
(also available at Five Dimes)

Hank Kuehne to beat David Duval -130 @ Olympic
Continuing to oppose Duval, though thankfully dropping Baddeley from this task. As predicted, Badds only had to make the cut last week to win this match, but he failed miserably. Having made the cut in seven of his last ten events, Kuehne should perform much better and should need little more to beat Duval.

Joey Sindelar to beat David Duval -110 @ Pinnacle [3pts]
Sindelar won the Wachovia Championship in May, has made the cut in his last five events and leads Duval 5-1-0 h2h in 2004.  This is a mismatch in their current form.
