Matchup Picks - PGA Tour

Tipsters: Stanley (72-hole matchups) & Andy (18-hole matchups)

Michelin Championship

FINAL RESULT: 1-1-1; -0.21pts

Pavin/Allan TIED (Push)
Triplett/Cejka LOST by 10
Lehman/Flesch WON by 11

Small loss, but still finish the event in profit.

Further 72-hole play (1.5pts):

Tom Lehman to beat Steve Flesch -111 @ NordicBet
Flesch has lost his form since winning the Colonial with no top-20 finishes since June and he was playing in wet, blustery Ireland last week. It is a far from ideal preparation for desert golf in Nevada! Plus, he has only finished ahead of Lehman twice this year so does not look like adding to that tally this week.
(also available at Ladbrokes)

72-hole plays (1.5pts):

Corey Pavin to beat Steve Allan +100 @ Olympic
Will take these odds on a player who has played particularly well since the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. He leads Allan 12-5-0 h2h this year and does not have the pressure of potentially losing his Tour Card this season - Allan lies in 110th position on the Money Leaders list.

Kirk Triplett to beat Alex Cejka -114 @ Expekt
Not much to choose between these two in terms of form, but Triplett is coming off a top-10 finish in the Southern Farm Bureau Classic, while Cejka has struggling with the conditions in Ireland at the weekend. Add in Triplett's excellent record in this event versus Cejka missed cut on his debut last year and this warrants a play.
