Tipsters: Andy & Shaker

Canadian Open

From Shaker:

Sell Justin Rose NO MAX FP at 57 for 0.25 pts with Sporting Index
Here's one for the brave!
Despite the volatility of this type of bet I'm happy to take it on as I make the quote at least 10 pts too high. That's just on basic figures but there are other factors pointing to him having a good week. Firstly, the quote can only be based on his poor recent form and yet he had the joint 5th-best 4th round score on Monday and quite possibly his hopes, as written on his website, about thinking the hard work he's been putting in will soon pay off, are now to be realised. Secondly, his performances on the smallest greens on tour this season have been excellent. His best three finishes of the whole season have been 4th, tied-5th & tied-7th, and these were all on greens of 5000 ft² or less, the size they are this week. To summarise, a quote of 57-62 is wrong on his PGA Tour career, full-stop. When you add in other positive-looking factors, a nice profit has to be expected.
Result: Tied 4th with 3 others, MU 5.5, Profit = 12.88 pts

Finishing Positions (0.5pt stakes)

Sell Loren Roberts at 36 with Cantor Sports Did Not Start - NO BET
Another difficult set of prices where a few players (McCarron, Howell and Byrum being the nearest) came close to being FP sells but the only one whose price is sufficiently different from where i pitch it to make it worthy of a bet is Roberts. In his last 9 events on Tour, Loren has posted finishes of 12/18/16/11/17/21,  accompanied with a 62nd and two MC. With arguably better fields in all of those events bar the John Deere classic where strangely it was one of his two MC's, 36 is too high.
