Boise Open

No outright plays again. Still can't pick the winners of the Buy.com events!

72-hole plays:

Kelly Gibson to beat Brenden Pappas -111 @ Simon Bold [3 units]
Both players failed to reach the weekend in their last two events, but it was the first time in seven events for Gibson whereas it meant seven missed cuts in ten events for Pappas. Gibson looks the better prospect to make the cut, especially as he finished 7th in his previous visit two years ago

Matt Peterson to beat Pat Perez -111 @ Simon Bold [3 units]
Peterson has had a very light schedule over the past few months and it appears to have paid off. He has finished in the top-10 in three of his last five events. By contrast, Perez's last top-10 was over two months ago and with a 55th place finish on his only visit here, compared to 7th last year for Peterson and being a regular visitor as well, Perez is easily opposed this week

Sonny Skinner to beat Darron Stiles -111 @ Simon Bold
Stiles has been struggling recently. He has missed three of his last five cuts and has a best of 36th in the other two. With a record of having missed the cut in all three previous visits to Hillcrest, Stiles is one to oppose, especially with a player who has missed just one cut in his last eleven events

Mid-point update:

No joy at the cut as none of the plays are decided after 36 holes. They are close and split: Gibson is tied with Pappas, Peterson trails Perez by a shot and Skinner leads Stiles by three shots.

Final update: 1-2-0 and -5.66 units

Didn't check the leaderboard closely enough yesterday ... Stiles had missed the cut and so Skinner won by five shots. The rest were not so good. Gibson finished a distant eleven shots behind Pappas, while Peterson surrendered a 3-shot over Perez after 54 holes to tie with him and ties lose at Simon Bold A very poor event.
