Matchup Picks - LPGA Tour

Tipster: Stanley

Giant Eagle LPGA Classic

FINAL RESULT: 2-1-0; +5.67pts

Andrews/Daly-Donofrio WON by 2
Lindley/Estill WON by 2
Teske/Park LOST by 7

A good profit on the plays, but was made to sweat for it. The two triple-plays were very close all week and so it was rather fortunate to win them both.

54-hole plays:

Donna Andrews to beat Heather Daly-Donofrio -120 @ Five Dimes [4.5pts]
On paper this is a mismatch. Andrews has finished ahead of Daly-Donofrio in 14 of their last 16 common events and finished ahead of her on both occasions that Daly-Donofrio has played on this course. With a lot of attention on Royal Troon, I'll gladly take these odds on this matchup in a much less-publicised event.

Leta Lindley to beat Michelle Estill -115 @ Five Dimes [4.5pts]
And this one is even more amazing! You need to go back to August 2002 for the last time that Estill finished ahead of Lindley in an event and that was by a single stroke. So in their last 21 common events, Lindley has a 20-0-1 h2h record. Should matter little that Estill finished behind Lindley on her only previous outing on this course. Another mismatch!

Rachel Teske to beat Gloria Park -111 @ Stan James [3pts]
It has been a disappointing season for Teske, but there were signs of an improvement in form with two top-15 finishes in her last two starts, including the U.S. Women's Open and she is the defending champion. Park has a best finish of 32nd in three attempts at Squaw Creek, trails Teske 4-8-0 h2h this season and must surely suffer from fatigue as this is her 12th consecutive week of tournament golf.
