Outright Picks - Ladies European Tour

Tipster: Carbine

Wales Ladies Championship of Europe

Result: 1-1 (+3.75).  YTD -9.75 points

Blomqvist 26th

Johnson 2nd

More frustration in that a half decent round by Johsnon on Sunday would have seen her take the title. Still, a small profit.

All plays 1.5 points

Minea Blomqvist 25/1 each way at Skybet (top 4 only)

Minnie is starting to show her potential in the second half of the season. She had back to back runner up finishes in England and Hungary, before a very creditable result in the British Open where only a poor first round saw her from finishing inside the top 15. Again last week in Sweden, one poor round let her down. An 83 in the 3rd round saw her drop from a top 5 finish, but she showed her true abilityby shooting the low round of the day on Sunday with a 68 (nobody else went under 70). If she can keep that one bad round of the card, this young star should give this a real shake.

Trish Johnson  33/1 each way at Centrebet

Johnson is not only a very consistent player but the defending champion in this event, and repeat winners seem to be the trend on the LET this year. She is a vastly experienced player with 18 professional tournament victories and her form this year has not been hopeless, including 3 top tens and a 13th last week in Sweden. This isnt a very high class field, and Johnson looks to be set for a good week against this lot.
