Outright Picks - Ladies European Tour

Tipster: Carbine

Odds: Outright

KLM Ladies Open

Result: 1-1 (+0.45 points); YTD: -13.00 points.

Taylor T11th

Monnet-Melocco T3rd (with 3 others)

A small profit, which is more than I expected after the first 2 rounds.

All plays 1.5 points.

Kirsty Taylor 16/1 each way at Skybet

This is probably one of the weaker fields on the LET this year with many of the Solheim Cup players electing to take the week off. This opens up the tournament a little bit and presents an opportunity for Taylor.  She has already proven herself this year with a victory in the WPGA Championship of Europe held in Wales last month. She has 6 top 20's this year, and is a proven performer on the course, finishing 5th here last year and 2nd in 2000. 16/1 represents good value against this field.

Marine Monnet-Melocco  25/1 each way at Skybet

In 80 events on the LET Monnet-Melocco is yet to register a win. But she has finished in the top 10 on 26 occassions, and as there is no place only market then I am happy enough to back her each way. Her form this year has been solid yet again, with 6 top 20's, her best finish being a 3rd in Spain in May. She registered another top 10 in the Danish event two weeks ago, and finished 8th on this course last year. The odds seem to justify an investment in this weak field.
