Never really a hope. Neither player could muster a round in the mid 60's which was necessary if you wanted to be competitive.

Becky Brewerton 28/1 each way @ Skybet Outstanding Welsh amateur who turned professional last year. Had an outstanding debut year with 8 top 20 finishes in 14 starts, including 3 finishes in the top 3. Has started the year off only moderately with finishes of 22nd and 27th in Spain and 16th last week in Austria. However, she led the field in birdies made last week, so perhaps she is ready to challenge once more. At these odds in a field without any real star quality, Beckerton seems good value.
Anja Monke 33/1 each way @ Skybet Another strong performer last year in her debut season and was unlucky not to win the rookie of the year title. She had 6 top 10 finishes in 2004 from just 14 events, more than anyone else on tour. Although she has started this year below par, with missed cuts in both Spanish events, she bounced back to form last week by finishing 11th. The odds look attractive given these facts. |
