Ladies English Open
Result: 0-3 (-4.5 points); YTD -18 pts. Matthew T15th Tinning T10th Monke T27th
A much stronger European field this week with the return of several players from the US as they begin preparations for the Women's British Open. All plays 1.5 points.
Catriona Matthew to win 12/1 each way at Skybet Matthew has arguably had the strongest season in the US of any of the returning players. With just one missed cut and 6 top ten finishes in 14 events (not including the match play), Matthew has shown she can mix it with the best. While she has never competed on this course, expect her class to ensure she is contention come Sunday.
Iben Tinning to win 14/1 each way at Skybet Tinning is undoubtedly the class act of those who are based in Europe full time. She already has notched two victories from just 7 starts this season, and certainly is capable of mixing it with those returning from the LPGA. Two top 20 finishes from two starts on this course is another positive indicator.
Anja Monke to win 33/1 each way at Skybet Monke is in good form with consecutive top ten finishes in France and Portugal. Longer term she has recorded 10 top ten finishes from 24 starts on the LET, which is a testament to her consistency. With a 5th place finish on this course last year included in those results, the odds seem attractive for this up and comer.
