Austrian Ladies Open

RESULT : 0-2; -3.00 pts

Pilgrim T41st

Gottmo  T55th

Never in the hunt. Pilgrim opened solidly but a second round 75 effectively ended her chances. Gottmo was very disappointing.

Stake of 1.5 points per play.

Asa Gottmo e.w.  @  20/1  at Skybet (1/4 top 4)

In a field where Davies and Tinning dominate the betting, value can be found elsewhere. Gottmo has the experience and form to win this event. In 14 starts in 2004, she finished in the top 20 on 10 separate occassions. She has continued that fine form into 2005 with 3 top 20 finishes in 4 events (the other event she withdrew while in a good position).  In a field lacking real depth the odds seem to warrant an interest.

Eleanor Pilgrim  e.w.  @ 80/1   at Skybet (1/4 top 4)

Young Welsh professional who had a good college career in the States but has so far failed to live up to that potential. 2005 may change that if the early form is anything to go by. Two top 20 finishes in the recent events in Spain would have given her some much needed confidence. Her final round of 66 at the Spanish Open highlights her potential. At these odds she is certainly worth following.
