Result

Westwood 3rd

Jimenez T19

A bitterly disappointing finish from Westwood who had a 3 shot lead at stages, and after being 4 under through the first 6 holes on Sunday looked odds on for victory. But 3 over for his last 12 holes was simply not good enough from a world class player. Jimenez played solidly enough but never threatened, maybe being co-promoter took up enough of his time.

Lee Westwood 2pts win @ 10-1 Betfred  -2pts

Lee continues in fine form and has performed with credit at Bay Hill and Doral the last few weeks. Hopefully being defending champion won't distract him too much and he will be able to show the others a clean pair of heels.

Miguel Angel Jimenez 1pt ew @ 25-1 General -2pts

Miguel started last weeks WGC event with a 65 but was unable to capitalise and faded to finish 26th. This was a good performance however and now that he is back on home turf and down in class, 25/1 seems a very fair offering for such a talented individual. Here's to seeing the cigar come out on Sunday afternoon!
