0.75ew Howell 80/1 Betfred

Howell returned to the tour last week after a 4 week break and was on the fringes of contention during the opening rounds. It would have been a much higher finish but for 5 3 putts and a double hit. His putting is one of his strengths so I would be looking for that to improve on a course that he finished 2nd on last year.

0.75ew Derksen 80/1 Coral / Ladbrokes

Derksen is a multiple winner on tour and put together a solid finish to 2008. He returned from a break last week with a m/c at Seville but shot a much improved second round 68. His form over an extended period is on a par with the players who are half his price and in this weak field is a decent looking bet at 80's.

0.75ew Brier 90/1 BSQ

Another multiple winner who played pretty well last week finishing 21st. He had a top 10 earlier in the year in Australia and has showed he can play the course having opened with a 65 in 2005.

0.75ew S Gallacher 100/1  Betfred/Will Hill

Gallacher had an excellent start to the season with top 20's in Abu Dhabi and Qatar. He has played pretty well on this course making all 3 cuts and finishing 11th in 2007. If he can recapture that early season form he could well go close in what is a much weaker event.

0.5ew G Orr 125/1 Gen

Orr hasnt played since Dubai but returns to Portugal where he has won previously and posted a number of decent finishes. His form again has been solid over an extended period making 12 of his last 15 cuts with two top 5 finishes in Crans and Russia.
