Result

Stenson 45th

Jimenez 24th

Kaymer T2

This event sums up our season, close but no cigar. Hopefully the damage hasn't been too bad with some good trades available for those that way inclined. Good luck for 2009 as I bid you a fond farewell!

Martin Kaymer 1.5pts win @ 25-1 General -1.5pts

Henrik Stenson 1pt win @ 35-1 General -1pt

Miguel Angel Jimenez 1pt win @ 50-1 Centrebet -1pt

One last hurrah from me this week as I'm going the same way as Juande Ramos and letting a new man come in to revive fortunes (I don't get the £7 million pay off unfortunately).

I'm going with a couple of the more talented players as Valderrama is not a place for the faint hearted, and also players who have shown a liking for the test.

Kaymer was 6th on his debut last year which was some effort and that included a 78 in Round 2. Jimenez has had a couple of Top 10s at Valderrama and maybe he will be inspired by Sergio's win last week. Stenson has missed his last 2 cuts and has only a fair record at Valderrama but he might be ready to raise his game at one of the tour's flagship events, and 35-1 is a fair price.
