Result Willett MC Clarke DQ Molinari T43 Willett showed what he can do in Round 2 but a first day 78 left him with no chance. Darren's game is obviously not right at the moment and he was DQ'd (would have missed the cut anyway). Molinari never entered calculations.
Danny Willett 1pt ew @ 125-1 Centrebet -2pts Three top 20s from his last four starts says it all about this star of the future. A new course this week levels the field for him and it is only a matter of time before he breaks through. Larrazabal's win will only have given extra confidence that a first win can happen quickly. Francesco Molinari 1pt ew @ 80-1 Centrebet -2pts Molinari finished 13th last week despite a 2nd round 75, and is another player who looks like a winner waiting to happen. 80/1 is a fair price that this week is his week. Darren Clarke 0.5pts ew @ 55-1 Stan James -1pt Darren failed to get through Open qualifying last week and now needs a top 5 finish to get him a place at Royal Birkdale. He's not in the best of form admittedly but if he can find something in practice then 55/1 could be a decent price. Speculative but worth an interest. |
