With some below-the-surface course form and with finishes of 1st, mc, 3rd and 14th in his last four starts, Hanson could be a real contender this week. It is difficult to see either of his two opponents having the same energy levels as they did when they were unsuccessfully trying to get onto the Ryder Cup team. Even if they have, it is worth pointing out that Dougherty has failed to finish ahead of Hanson in any of their last eight common events and Clarke has finished ahead of Hanson just four times in the last 24 months
