Celtic Manor Wales Open

Summary: 2 Bets, 1 Win, 1 Loss. P&L = 0.00

Bet 1 - Sell Nick Dougherty over Daniel Vancsik 18H MB at 9 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts. M/U 34, Loss 7.5 Pts
Speculative play on Vancsik here who after a win in Madeira in April has lost his form of late. Missed cuts in his last 5 starts including rounds of 79, 76, 77 and 78 in the last 2 weeks is desperate stuff but the price reflects this. In H2H's over the last year, Dougherty leads 10-6 and on this course last year, Vancsik won by 2 as both players failed to make the weekend.

Bet 2 - Sell Jyoti Randhawa over Michael Campbell 18H MB at 6 with
IG Sport or Spreadex for 0.3 Pts. M/U -19, Profit 7.5 Pts
It doesn't matter how poorly Campbell has been playing, and it has been very poor, he should never be a 6pt underdog against Randhawa. I am not suggesting he should be favourite, as his game has gone for the moment but with a H2H record of 3-2 to Randhawa in 2007 when Campbell has been at his lowest suggests that the price has been inflated too much. Randhawa shot 76-78 at the weekend to show that his game isn't all that good at the moment either and like the bet above, there is value in opposing the favourite, even although we do so in both cases with two players who are at a low ebb.
