Spread Betting News (Sporting Index)

Summary: 2 Bets, 2 Losses. Loss 19.89 Pts

Bet 1 -
Sell Nick Dougherty over Peter Hanson 72H MB at 1.65 with Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.6 Pts. M/U 22, Loss 12.39 Pts
We seem to oppose Dougherty every week, and with form figures this year of 4 top 20's from 6 starts it may explain part of the reason our European tour record isn't as good as elsewhere. I believe though that I have been right to do so as he regularly gets quoted at prices above his ability. The problem for us being that he has been matching that pre tournament opinion most weeks. This week he is paired with a player on a 72H matchmakers bet at Sporting who also has had a good start to the year but who receives not far off half a stroke start per round on him. Hanson leads Dougherty 12-5 in their last 17 events since early 2006 and also has fair current form of 2/37/6/cut and should not be an underdog by as much as the price quoted.

Bet 2 - Sell Robert-Jan Derksen over David Griffiths 18H MB at 3 with Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.3 Pts M/U 28, Loss 7.5 Pts
5th on this course on a Challenge tour event in 04' and a follow up 45th in this event two years ago, Griffiths has played some of his best golf in Iberia. Two further Top 10's in Spain last year and 7th in Madeira in 06' also, Griffiths should not be as high an outsider as he is. Derksen finished 25th last week after a fast start and this was therefore another top 30 place, his 7th in a row. That has to give sometime of course, but even with that form he should be 1-4 against Griffiths in this part of the world.
