BMW PGA Championship

Summary: 2 Bets, 2 Wins, Profit 18 Pts.

Bet 1 Sell Simon Dyson over Yong-Eun Yang 18H MB at 5 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U -31, Profit 10.8 Pts

27th place in Ireland at the weekend was quite an impressive performance for Yang in conditions far removed from his comfort zone. In the worst of the weather, Yang shot 72 on Thursday and that bodes well for his future in this part of the world. In his only other European start this year, the week before last, Yang finishes 54th in Andulucia. Dyson is in a great run of form with Top 10's in two of the three starts he has made on European soil but H2H's in the two events they have both taken part in show that Yang is averaging half a stroke less in those 8 rounds than Dyson who has thrown in a couple of big scores.

Bet 2 Sell Anders Hansen over Wen-Chong Liang MB at 2 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U -22, Profit 7.2 Pts
A more speculative play here as this is Liang's first venture into mainland Europe and the bet becomes more of an opposition to Hansen than support of Liang. Hansen has been plying his trade in America with very little success. A 22nd in the Honda is Hansen s only Top 30 in 10 starts and a return to Europe three weeks ago produced a 56th place in a fairly poor quality Italian Open. He is a past winner here but that was a while ago now and he has missed 2 cuts in 3 in this event since then. There may be a bit of value in this bet especially as Hansen may just be a little rusty in R1 having not played since Italy
