Outright plays (total stake per play: 1pt)

Simon Dyson to win 14/1 e.w. @ Victor Chandler  74th
Struggled to find two players to back in this event, but Dyson looks to have the best chance out of the leading players. His record in Spain had been unspectacular until this year and his 4th place finish in the Open de Espana two weeks ago. But such a high finish was entirely predictable as his previous three finishes had been 3rd, 21st (but 1st after the opening round) and 10th. This looks like being an entirely unpredictable event, but Dyson should still give himself a decent chance of winning his third Tour title in 14 months.

Fredrik Andersson Hed to win 66/1 e.w. @ Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler, Bet365 and ToteSport  2nd
Andersson Hed has yet to win on this Tour and has been more of a veteran of Q-School over the past decade, but he has hit a patch of form that could ensure that he does not return there this year: his last four finishes in Europe have been 43rd, 25th, 6th and 3rd. In terms of form in Spain, he finished 11th in his previous European Tour event in Spain before his 4th place in the Open de Espana, so if low-scoring is to be the norm this week - and the course reports suggest that - his form make secure him another high finish and a decent payout in this final event before the Tour attracts the "big guns" back to Europe.
