Spread Betting News (Sporting Index)

Summary: 3 Bets, 1 Win, Losses 2. Loss 4.2 Pts

Tournament Trades

Buy Carl Pettersson FP at 31 with IG Sport for 0.4 Pts M/U 36.5, Profit 2.2 Pts
Pettersson is the Swede who lives F/T in the States and has only played 3 European events in the last 3 years. Those resulted in finishes of 60th here in 03', 6th in the Scandinavian Masters in 03' and 57th at Troon in 04'. With a far better field here than on the PGA Tour this week, 31 is possibly 3 or 4 points too low.

Round One Trades

Sell Johan Edfors over Hale Irwin at 3 with IG Sport for 0.2 Pts M/U 19, Loss 3.2 Pts
This is really a play against Edfors although a lot of faith has to put in Irwin's ability to compete at this level. I watched him in practice today and decided he looked worthy of supporting in this match. Edfors has done nothing since winning at the Belfry in May which seems a repeat of his form after winning the TCL China in March. He then went 4 events producing no top 40 finishes then surprisingly came out and won at the Belfry.

Sell Jose-Filipe Lima over Richard Sterne at 0 with IG Sport for 0.2 Pts M/U 16, Loss 3.2 Pts
Sterne leads 12-10 in rounds and 27-23 in all rounds, couple this with slightly better course form means that Sterne should be slight favourite. Both have a little good form over the last few weeks but if I was to price this I would go 0-3 Sterne so, although not the best bet we will place all year, it is value.
