Open de France

Bets:   1 Wins:  0   Losses:  1  Profit/Loss = -17 Pts. A delayed R1 meant that it was R3 before we could look at trading out of this and at no stage was there an opportunity without giving up value. Unfortunately in R4 none of the closest challengers like Monty or Dougherty done enough to overtake Olazabal.

Pre Round One Trades.

This week we are going to move into indices pre start as it has become noticeable that FP prices seem hard to contest until we get between rounds. The plan is to trade sells and buys throughout the event on the main 10 man index rather than the "2nd division" lists (normally known as Challengers Index). The reason being that most of the players appear on all four firms' lists so we have a choice of whichever firm we think that the best price resides at. On Challengers' lists there does seem to be a greater quantity of different players. Usual half point stakes on all bets.

Sell Jose Maria Olazabal at 16 on the "Super 10" Index at Cantor Sports M/U 50, Loss 17 Pts.
First up, Olazabal is chosen to oppose at 16 as this price is just too high. Tipped up by Stanley at 16/1, I advise the opposite purely based on the numbers as on the facts available there is no particular reason for Olly to be 16 and Monty to be as low as 10. Olly does have remarkable stats at this event but remember this is a "tournament within a tournament" and unlike an FP buy where 20+ (admittedly from the whole field) have to beat him, only 3 out of 9 do, and those 9 are the cream of this event. As stated above though we will trade our way through this event as and when necessary to try and ensure a profitable return at the end.
