Tournament Trades

Sell Jamie Donaldson FP at 35 with Sporting Index for 0.5 pts (M/U 50, WD or DQ ??, Profit -7.5 pts)

Fairly high price for a promising player in a very weak field. Donaldson is probably priced at 35 as he has missed three cuts on the bounce. However, with a known downside this seems a fair bet and could possibly be a bit too high.

Round One Trades

Sell C Spence over A Wall at 1 with Sporting Index for 0.75 pts. (M/U -37, Profit 28.5 pts)

In a day of very few prices as most firms give all their pricing time to the PGA event, this seems fair. Both are in horrendous form with more missed cuts than made cuts recently for both. Wall though is a better player and at least is on his own tour whereas Spence will not be used to the intricacies of this quirky course. Worth a trade with a point start.

Summary

I can happily do this summary a day early as there is no way i will be betting on Day 4 of this tournament as the coverage from the Tour's website has been absolutely shocking. Scoring updates have been sporadic at best and there is no explanation as to why Donaldson withdrew (or if he was disqualified). This is the event last year that made the headlines for the eventual winner "supposedly" having a 30 on one hole which cost one exchange punter a lot of money. Well this year it was beaten by a player "supposedly" shooting a 40. To take 21 points out of this event is a bonus.
