Betfair Picks - European Tour

Tipster: Shaker

The Heritage @ Betfair

Summary:
No comment! Loss 3 pts.

Selection 1 Back:

Thomas Björn 3 pts @ 50
(or 50/1 at Victor Chandler)

Hard to know where to start for this difficult-as-ever event, with confidence so low, and with this risky play I am just following a feeling rather anything that my head could tell me. The reasoning here is that I'm hoping Björn witnessing the Ryder Cup celebrations first-hand, as one of Langer's assistants but not as a player, will spur him on into a period where he again establishes himself as one of Europe's leading lights. He said about the Ryder Cup, "I found it hard to be on the sidelines rather than here as player ... I can’t tell you how valuable the experience was to be someone looking at things from the outside. I found out a lot about what people look like when they’re playing well and when they’re not playing well", and declared his intentions of being on the team for 2006. One senses that he's realised his faults, possibly given himself a good talking-to, and is now raring to go for a return to enjoying his golf again. He's too good not to overcome his problems of recent times and there has actually been some hope in his last two outings as well.

Selection 1 Lay:
3 pts @ 13
(to lose 36 pts)
6 pts @ 5.9 (29.4 pts)
6 pts @ 3.45
(14.7 pts) Profit if successful = 66.9 pts

The lays are at set prices, based on the original back price, and are left up for the duration of the tournament. Please note: they are to be put up as soon as possible after the market is placed in-running.
