Having won for the first time since May 2004 on his last outing on this tour, Barry Lane is, perhaps justifiably, favourite this week. Nevertheless there may be better opportunities further down the betting.

Gordon Brand Jnr. was in sparkling form during June and July and despite two disappointing performances in Scotland is worthy of another chance. In contrast, Russell led after the first round in Scotland last time out before finishing fourth and seems to be reasonable value to repeat his victory from earlier in the season at Slaley Hall. |
