Northumberland Seniors Classic

Russell T6;  Chillas T17;  Jones T51

Bets: 3     Wins: 0    Losses: 3    Profit/Loss =  -2.5 Pts.

David J Russell to win @ 18/1 e.w.        1pt @ Skybet
Was a clear second in his last tournament at La Moye; just unfortunate to come up against a blistering performance by Torrance. This excellent current form is coupled with a sound performance in last years Northumberland Classic where he finished 3rd after an opening round of 67. Torrance doesn’t hold the course experience over Russell that he had at La Moye and surely can’t repeat that kind of form again so this is a great opportunity for DJ to get revenge.

John Chillas to win @ 20/1 e.w.  1pt @ Skybet
Chillas is a supremely consistent player showing good current form. He has hit some low 18-hole scores on this course and if he can avoid the odd bad round which he has a bad habit of hitting then he should certainly be in contention for the title.

Brian Jones to win @ 150/1 e.w.           0.5pt @ Skybet
Jones also opened his account at last year’s event with a 67 before finishing in sixth place. The Aussie has a remarkable record in this tournament; finishing sixth in the last two years and winning the event in 2002. His recent form of 26-39-57 is nothing to get excited about but neither was his form going into last year’s event, 67-26-34. What is worth getting excited about is a price of 150/1 which is decent value even accounting for his lack of form over the past 12 months.
