Outright Picks - European Challenge Tour

Tipster: Stanley

Odds: Outright

Guatemala Open

FINAL RESULT: 1-1; -0.46pts

Hepworth 5th
Dobbs 45th

Disappointing return from a very promising event. Hepworth held a two-shot lead after both the 1st and 2nd rounds and held the lead as late as the back nine on Sunday, but four bogeys in his last seven holes ended his challenge and the return was paltry after a three-way tie for 5th. He only finished three shots out of the lead.

Outright plays (1pt):

James Hepworth to win 33/1 e.w. @ SkyBet
Has made the step back down to the Challenge Tour after a season on the main Tour and has started the year in very good form, finishing 14th in Costa Rica and 2nd in a tight finish in Panama last week. He is already a winner of one of these co-sanctioned events, the 2003 Los Encinos Open in Mexico, which was played the week after this event two years ago when he was in contention on this course until a final round 75. There's enough evidence already that his stay on the Challenge Tour will be brief.

Kyle Dobbs to win 40/1 e.w. @ SkyBet
Made his debut on this Tour with three events at the end of last year, but made little impression until the New Year ... now he has a win and a further top-10 finish from two starts in 2005. No course form, but he had none in Costa Rica or Panama and he still played well, so is difficult to ignore at this price and in this form.

Can't find anything else of interest at the prices available.
