Matchup Picks - Asian PGA Tour

Tipster: Stanley

Odds: Matchups

Caltex Masters

FINAL RESULT: 1-1-0; +0.80pts

Jaidee/Atwal LOST by 1
Bjorn/McDowell WON by 7

Small profit on the plays to bring the overall event into profit. Easy for the Bjorn play, but Jaidee and Atwal were battling for last place, so not exactly what I expected!

Matchup plays (1pt unless stated):

Thongchai Jaidee to beat Arjun Atwal -120 @ SkyBet
Atwal may be an outright selection and Jaidee's course form may be indifferent, but he still dominates in this region. Over the last five years, he holds a 30-12-3 h2h record against Atwal, finishing behind him only twice in the last thirty months. If Atwal doesn't pick up a place win for the outrights, he should finish behind Jaidee in this match.

Thomas Bjorn to beat Graeme McDowell -110 @ Pinnacle [2pts]
McDowell is certainly improving as he plays more events overseas, but he has played just one event in this region when he finished 45th in the Johnnie Walker Classic last year. Quite a contrast with Bjorn’s form in the region, so it is better so side with the Dane in South-East Asia.
