Was a selection for the Johnnie Walker Classic in Thailand three weeks ago and played well to finish in the top-15 after a poor opening round. His game is as good as it has been in the past couple of years and he does have a good record in this region. A shorter price than I would have liked, but this should represent one of his best chances of victory this season.

Thongchai Jaidee to win 14/1 e.w. available generally
A much shorter price than I would have liked, but Jaidee is now common knowledge. He reinforced that by finishing 4th in the Johnnie Walker Classic last month and won the Myanmar Open by three shots last week. He also has good course experience, having finished 7th on this course in 2001, so it is difficult to see him not being in the thick of the action on Sunday.

Prayad Marksaeng to finish in the top-five 10/1 @ Paddy Power
Marksaeng missed the cut three years ago, but he had finished 14th and 9th in his appearances on this course beforehand so he does have useful course experience. He can also consider himself in good form, having finished in the top-10 in the Myanmar Open last week and finishing 2nd in the Thailand Open last month. Consistent rather than prolific, so the place-only option look the best format even in this rather weak field for a co-sanctioned event.

Quite an event! Jaidee was tied for the lead with three holes to play, but then had a hole-in-one and closed out for a two-shot victory, while Marksaeng had a good chance of victory until this stage and while he double-bogeyed the 15th, he still parred in for the top-five place. After a frustrating start to the year in the outrights, this was very satisfying!
